The NFD has new leaders, Highlands Park FC. The Thembisa side took over from Stellenbosch FC, who have been leading the pack from the first match of the season.

Highlands Park’s move to the top of the 16-team log came because of their 1-0 victory over Black Leopards at the Thohoyandou Stadium last Saturday.

Highlands Park are in a neck-in-neck situation with Stellenbosch FC with 16 points each. The Park’s celebrations are likely to be short-lived when they play Stellenbosch FC at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

Pretoria University, who have been in the second spot for three weeks, dropped to the third position after playing to a goalless draw with Stellenbosch FC last weekend.
