City and Baroka in tough Telkom Cup matches

 

The two Limpopo-based Premier League teams, Polokwane City and Baroka FC, are aiming to proceeded to the next round of the prestigious Telkom Cup when they play matches at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane this weekend.

All 16 Absa Premier League teams will play Telkom Cup matches this weekend, starting on Friday evening. Polokwane City will meet Ajax Cape Town on Saturday and Baroka will host Cape Town City on Sunday afternoon.

When asked about their level of readiness for the play-offs, the coach of Baroka, Koloko Thobejane, said that they had what it took to bring the trophy back home. According to him, all his players are razor sharp. He cited a number of players, including Gift Mutupa, Letladi Madubanya and Lewis Macha, on whom they will pin their hopes during the match.

The spokesperson of Polokwane City, Mr Vusi Ntimane, said that his players were ready for any team. He added that all the players were sharp and ready for action.  He added that the lethal striker and PSL's current leading goal scorer, Rodney “Rama” Ramagalela, was in top form and had an eye for goals.
