TTM ready to stop Stellenbosch

Many soccer lovers are expected to stream to the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow afternoon for the National First Division League match between Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Stellenbosch FC.

Stellenbosch are still to lose a league match to date and are currently leading the pack with 15 points accumulated from 7 outings.

According to TTM’s marketing manager, Mr Nicholas Madzuhe, Stellenbosch’s unbeaten record will have changed when the referee blows the final whistle tomorrow. He stated that the local team was well balanced, following their recent signings. He was specifically referring to their new recruits, David “DVD” Mathebula, Alton Kapinga and the Zimbabwean marksman, Carlington Nyadombo.

Nyadombo and Kapinga made their debut in their Vhembe derby against Black Leopards at the Thohoyandou Stadium last Saturday. Kapinga and Mathebula formed a deadly combination with Frank Motebejane and Mpambaniso Monde in the team’s attack against Leopards.

Madzuhe appealed to the team’s fans to come in their numbers “to witness the downfall of Stellenbosch” tomorrow.

Stellenbosch’s striker, Tshepo Mabua, said that they knew nothing about TTM. “Although TTM are a closed book to us, we are ready to give them a run for their money,” he said. Stellenbosch were unexpectedly held to a goalless draw by Richards Bay FC at the latter’s home ground last Sunday.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 15:30.

The other NFD fixtures of the weekend are: Mthatha Bucks vs Cape Town All Stars, Witbank Spurs vs Ubuntu Cape Town, Richards Bay FC vs Uthongathi FC, Highlands Park vs Super Eagles, Mbombela United vs Royal Eagles, Pretoria University vs Black Leopards and Jomo Cosmos vs Real Kings.
