Wounded Leopards ready to maul Kings

After losing two league matches in succession, Black Leopards are determined to make a comeback and collect the maximum points against Real Kings at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow.

Leopards are still in shock, following their 1-2 defeat at the hands of Stellenbosch FC at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town last weekend.

Lidoda Duvha dropped from the fourth to the 12th spot on the log, following the two defeats. The team’s head coach, Mr Jean Loscuito, says it is still too early to press the panic button. According to him, things will change for the better, starting from tomorrow’s game. He stressed the fact that they played well in the two games they lost, saying it was only lady luck who had not been on their side.

“We are only four points behind the pace setters, Stellenbosch FC, and just one victory can take us to the second spot on the log,” he said.

In the other matches of the weekend, Highlands Park will lock horns with Mbombela United at the Kanyamazane Stadium. The mood is good in the United camp after beating Cape Town All Stars 3-1 away from home.

Royal Eagles will entertain Super Eagles in Pietermaritzburg.  Eagles are still to win a league match this season. Witbank Spurs will host Pretoria University at the Puma Rugby Stadium in eMalahleni and Mthatha Bucks will face Uthongathi FC in Durban.

In the two matches that will be played on Sunday, rookies Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Richards Bay FC will meet at the Umhlatuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay, while Jomo Cosmos will play against Ubuntu Cape Town at the Athlone Stadium.

The Western Cape derby between Stellenbosch FC and Cape Town All Stars will be played at the Athlone Stadium this evening.
