Peace Makers and Stars in MTG final

 

The much-awaited final of the MTG champ-of-champs tournament will be staged at Makhuvha Stadium on Saturday. Tswinga Peace Makers and Mukula Jamaican Stars will meet in the dream final.

Peace Makers’ road to the final went via Mphego Real Rovers, whom they crushed 5-2 in their opening match at the Tshifudi Stadium last Saturday. They beat Mutshenzheni Gorillas 4-0 in their semifinal match at the Makhuvha Stadium last Sunday.

Jamaican Stars’ way to the final was difficult. They beat Ngovhela Backside FC 7-6 at the Thohoyandou P-East grounds on Saturday before registering a 1-0 victory over Mavunde Hungry Vultures in the semifinal onSunday.

Tomorrow’s programme will start with the match between Muvuma FC and Ngudza Young Vultures at 11:00. Muvuma and Young Vultures will be fighting for the fifth and sixth positions. Mutshenzheni Gorillas and Mavunde Young Vultures will meet in their losers’ final match at 13:00.  The final will start at 15:00.

The overall champions will take home R20 000 and the runners-up R15 000. The third- and fourth-placed sides will take home cash of R12 000 and R10 000 respectively. R8 500 is awaiting the fifth-placed team and the team in sixth place will receive R7 500.

The remaining five teams will receive R7 000 each.
