The Safa Vhembe MMK League champions, Mikhado FC.

Harvest time for MMK League clubs

 

Teams campaigning under the auspices of the Safa Vhembe MMK League last season will receive their prizes during a ceremony at the Thohoyandou Indoor Sports Centre this evening (Friday).

The league’s overall champions, Mikhado FC, will become R50 000 richer and they will also receive a floating trophy.

Mpheni Home Defenders, who finished in the second position, will take home R35 000. Rockers FC (third) will receive R30 000 and Tshakhuma RO United (fourth) will receive R25 000 during the ceremony.

The teams that finished from the fifth to the ninth position, Berea FC, Rambuda Young Fighters, Makovha All Stars, Phandulaluvalo FC and Mashamba Benfica, will each receive R15 000.

According to a statement from the league, the prizes for the Total Challenge KO competition will also be dished out during the ceremony. The Total Challenge champions, Mikhado FC, will receive R20 000 and soccer kit, and the runners-up, Mpheni Home Defenders, will receive R10 000 and a soccer kit.

Ngwenani Young Chiefs (third) and Phandulaluvalo FC (fourth) will take home R7 000 and R5 000 respectively.

The player of the tournament, goalkeeper of the tournament, referee of the tournament, best coach and the player who scored the best goal in the tournament will each receive R1 000.
