Manavhela Black Aces win Raimazoal tournament

Manavhela Black Aces won the Raimazoal Tournament when they beat Maisa Rainbow 3-0 in the final at Manavhela on Sunday.

It took Rainbow only two minutes to knock on Aces’ door. Their slender right flank, Nndwamato Netshaulu, miskicked the ball within the box. The game was 10 minutes old when the Aces took the lead. Khodani Masia dished a pre-cooked pass to Billy Kgobewa, who moved forward and unleashed a half volley.  The keeper of Rainbow watched helplessly as the ball hit the back of the net.

Mpho Chabalala, Rainbow's holding midfielder, was reprimanded with a card for a dangerous tackle in the 24th minute. The keeper of Rainbow, Godfrey Manzhie, made his presence felt seven minutes before half time. He braved Tshilidzi Chabalala’s shot and palmed the ball away for a corner kick.

Aces increased the margin in the 64th minute. Petrus Mpebe beat the offside trap from the left corner and unleashed a rocket from the edge of the box. The ball hit the crossbar and landed across the goal line.

Rainbow did not stop fighting, although victory was almost certain. Aces scored the last goal when Billy Kgobewa hooked in a loose ball to make it 3-0 in the 80th minute.
