TTM to play first league match at home

The Premier Soccer League released the first block for the National First Division (NFD) fixtures for the coming season. The opening matches will be played over the weekend of 18-20 August.

Black Leopards will play their opening league match away from home. They will undertake a journey to Nelspruit in Mpumalanga. That is where they will fight for league points against Mbombela United at the Kanyamazane Stadium on Saturday, 19 August. Mbombela United have a history of giving Lidoda Duvha a tough time when they meet at the latter’s home ground.

Following their purchasing of their NFD franchise from Milano United last week, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will test the NFD heat on their own home soil. TTM, as they are widely known, will host Cape Town All Stars at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Sunday, 20 August.

TTM’s deal to purchase the Cape Town side was concluded last Thursday afternoon. Following the transaction, Milano United will relocate to Thohoyandou, together with the players who were still contracted to the club.

The other fixtures are Ubuntu Cape Town, or Cape Town FC as they were formerly known, vs Stellenbosch FC; Richards Bay FC vs Real Kings; Uthongati FC vs Royal Eagles; Highlandspark vs Jomo Cosmos; Mthatha Bucks vs University of Pretoria and Super Eagles vs Witbank Spurs
