Leopards’ coach stays put

The head coach of Black Leopards, Mr Jean Losciuto, will continue to guide the team in the coming soccer season.

This bring an end to the speculations that he was on his way to the Absa Premiership side, Free State Stars.

The club’s spokesperson, Mr Berry Ramunenyiwa, stated early this week that there were some misunderstandings between Losciuto and the club.  When asked about the problems between the two parties that could have led to Losciuto’s decision to part ways with the club, Ramunenyiwa said that some minor differences existed, which are normal in an employer and employee relationship.

According to him, the Belgian mentor is still contracted to the club for two years. It was reported that Losciuto had requested for an urgent meeting with the chairman of the club, Mr David Thidiela, shortly after their game against Baroka at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday, 18 June.

Losciuto was then asked to put his request in writing, something that the coach failed to do.

Ramunenyiwa confirmed that the coach was back in the team’s camp and that he was hard at work after a break of three weeks. Losciuto confirmed his return to the team, saying he was a happy man after sorting out the differences he had with the club in an amicable manner.

Ramunenyiwa further added that the team’s former striker, Thembisani Nevhulamba, will be in the team’s colours when the activities for the new season start next month.

Nevhulamba joined Black Leopards at the beginning of last season. He was dismissed from the club because of misconduct in December last year. Ramunenyiwa further confirmed that their holding midfielder, Sphelele Ntshangase, was on the transfer list.
