MTG final at Makonde

Soccer lovers will stream to the Makonde Home Defenders grounds today (Friday) for the long-awaited final of the MTG and PIB KO Competition.

Tshandama Try Together are already sure of a place in the final, where they will meet the winner of the match between Lukau Hot Aces and Ngovhela XI Experience.

Tshandama’s way to the final went via Arsenal FC, who failed to honour the match at the Makonde Home Defenders' grounds last Sunday. The match was declared a walkover for Tshandama. The match between Lukau Hot Aces and Ngovhela XI Experience was played on Wednesday afternoon and the result of the game was not available at the time of our going to press.

The teams that lost in the semifinal stage will meet in the losers’ final match to determine the team that will finish in the third position. This year’s champions will take home a cash prize of R20 000, a floating trophy, soccer kit and gold medals. The runners-up will receive a cash prize of R10 000, soccer kit and silver medals. The teams booted out in the quarterfinal stage of the competition will each receive a consolation prize of R2 000.
