Vhembe to host provincial play-offs

 

With only two matches remaining before the affiliates of the MMK Administrators Soccer League wrap up their league activities for the current season, the title chasers from different streams are gearing up for the regional playoffs.

Although the dates for the regional playoffs are still to be announced, the provincial playoffs will be hosted by Vhembe Region over the weekend of 17 and 18 June.

Makovha All Stars are leading the pack in Stream A with 63 points from 28 matches. United Artists are on their heels with 61 points. The fight for survival is among four teams, viz. Matsika Shooting Stars, Obert Ministries FC, Royal Arsenal and Do Light FC. Phandulaluvalo FC and Mukula Young Santos in Stream B have 77 points each. Khubvi Dangerous Darkies, Makonde FC and Begwa FC are in the last three positions on the log.

Rockers FC have already been declared the Stream C champions, even though they still have two matches to play. They are leading the stream with 71 points, while Ngwenani Young Chiefs, who are in the second spot, have deposited 54 points into their league account to date.

Tshakhuma RO United are on top of Stream D with 72, while Gwamasenga United Brothers are behind them with 68 points. Phungo All Stars and Bembani FC are the relegation candidates. Mpheni Home Defenders and Makhitha Oscar Stars are closely contesting the title in Stream E with 69 and 67 points respectively.

Mashamba Benfica and Wayeni Sea Robbers are chasing the title in Stream F with 73 and 66 points respectively. Sea Robbers have a match in hand. Mikhado FC are shining on top of Stream G with 70 points, 13 ahead of Tshivhilidulu Hungry Lions. Nzhelele United Stars and Milaboni Chop Them Down are the relegation candidates.

Igwe FC are the leaders in Stream H with 49 points, two ahead of Berea FC. Matshena Hungry Lions, Maramanzhi Mountain Sweepers and Tshenzhelani Diiteleni are fighting for survival.
