ABC Motsepe League double header at Giyani Stadium

The Giyani Stadium will be a hive of activity tomorrow. That is where an ABC Motsepe League double header will be staged. The first match will be between Bellevue Winners Park and Joe Maweja. It will start at 13:00.

Winners Park are leading the pack with 64 points, one ahead of The Dolphins FC. A win for them will secure them a place in the promotional play-offs. Should they fail to collect the maximum against Maweja tomorrow, The Dolphins will move to the top of the log if they manage to win their match against A1 Terrors.

Maweja have only pride at stake in the match as they are on the safe side when it comes to relegation. Maweja disappointed their home fans when they lost 0-2 to Polokwane Academy at the Tshifulanani Stadium last Saturday.

The second match will be between Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) and Giyani Hotspurs. TTM got out of the league title race by playing to a 2-2 draw with Bellevue Winners Park at the Tshifulanani Stadium last Saturday. This match is expected to start at 15:00.

The Polokwane derby between Polokwane Academy and Great North FC will be staged at the Polokwane Rugby Fields. Gawula Classic and Mighty FC will lock horns at the Giyani Stadium on Sunday, while Lephalale Young Killers will take on Mokopane Ratanang at the TT Cholo Stadium.

Molemole Academy will travel to Boyne Stadium where they will battle for league points with Boyne Young Tigers. Madridtas FC and Polokwane United will meet at the Tshifudi Stadium. The other league title contenders, The Dolphins FC, will host A1 Terrors at the Ben Serake Stadium in Polokwane. The Dolphins are still fresh from their 7-1 massacre of Molemole Academy.

The players to watch in the weekend matches are Zwivhuya Tshisaphungo and Takalani Omphulusa Masotsha (Maweja), Sharlen Munyamela and Gift Nemutandani (Madridtas) and Rendani Mukomafhedzi and Khathutshelo Mudau (TTM).

Maweja’s striker, Zwivhuya Tshisaphungo.

TTM’s midfielder, Rendani Mukomafhedzi.
