Univen academic activities to resume on Monday

 

The director of communications and marketing at the University of Venda, Mr Takalani Dzaga, said the academic activities would resume on Monday, 13 August. 

Dzaga said that a Univen delegation, led by the acting vice-chancellor and principal, Prof Jan Crafford, had met with NSFAS CEO Mr Steven Zwane and his team on Friday, 3 August, in Johannesburg to discuss the problems.

Dzaga said on Tuesday that the staff members were advised not to return to campus until Friday, 10 August. “The university management will utilize the next two days to resolve outstanding matters pertaining to the disbursement of NSFAS allowances to deserving students. We are optimistic that all outstanding matters will be resolved within the next two days,” he added.
