Update on town's water situation

Residents of Louis Trichardt and the surrounding areas have been asked to remain calm as the normal supply of water is currently underway.

According to the local ward councillor for the Democratic Alliance (DA), no water was supplied to Louis Trichardt today. The reason for the latest interruption could not be determined with absolute certainty.

He did, however, confirm that the normal flow of water was restored to the town’s CBD and that the remaining areas will hopefully receive water in their taps by tonight.  

An official statement from the VDM was pending as the spokesperson was not available for comment.
