The newly formed men’s forum, Vhanna Vha Ngafhi? (where are real men?) is set to educate men about the promoting of ubuntu in communities (kindness), assist in resolving family matters and to protect the rights of men.

The chairperson of the forum, Pastor Sampson Ratshikakala said that the forum started as a men’s league for the Zion City Church situated in Shayandima –Siawoadza, but they decided to include men from all corners of the country.

Ratshikakala and about 40 men launched Vhanna Vha Ngafhi on Saturday. “Some of the men are no longer responsible in the way that the Bible instructed them to be. We want men to go back to their position and take responsibilities as men,” said Ratshikakala.

Thovhele Thivhulawi Makumbane congratulated the men in Zion City Church for taking a lead in getting the organization to discuss family matters. According to Makumbane men should have a place and an opportunity to discuss family issues. By doing that it will hopefully reduce domestic violence prevailing in the communities.

Makumbane urged other churches around to help address social issues, so that some of the family matters can be resolved.

One of the young men who attended the seminar, Mr Ndamulelo Tshikhudo, said that they have learned that men should take a stand and protect the family, instead of abusing them.
