Local Afro-Pop star Malondolo is at present touring Lesotho.
There is no doubt that local Afro-Pop star Malondolo is raising the South African flag high during her tour to Lesotho, which started on Wednesday this week.
She will perform at various venues in Maseru and her tour will end on Sunday, when she flies back home.
She gladly said about her tour before she flew to Lesotho on Tuesday: “I’m very proud that my musical brand is continuously being recognized outside the borders of South Africa. I have always dreamt of performing in Maseru, and I’m now happy that my dream has been realized. I will be promoting my culture, heritage and language while, at the same time, feeding the hungry souls with my sweet and tested music. The rehearsals with my band were so hectic and we will perform as if there is no tomorrow.”
The multiple-award-winning diva says she is thankful to her new manager, Freedom Boikanyo of E kasi Enterprise. “Since I started working under his management, my musical career has been turned into a professional full-time job that needs me on a daily basis. I would like to advise fellow musicians to turn their music careers into a professional venture by working with renowned managers who know their job well. More importantly, I would like to thank my fans who have been supporting me throughout my career for the past seven years. Everyone in Lesotho will know that there is talent and potential in Limpopo.”
Malondolo shot to stardom after the release of her single, Ndi a livhuwa, in 2010. She has performed at high-profile events such as the Mapungubwe Music Festival, sharing the stage with legends such as Simpiwe Dana, Ringo, Jonas Gwangwa, Thandiswa Mazwai, Letta Mbuli and Caiphus Semenya.
Besides performing at high-profile venues such as the Bassline, she has also performed in France, accompanied by local band Vhembe Heritage.
