The time has come for gospel music lovers to forget about their sorrows for a while and put on their dancing shoes instead. Tsiko Malindi, famously known as Tsiko Mal in the gospel music industry, has finally released his long-awaited single, titled A re kha nne. This one, once again, promises some much-needed spiritual upliftment.

Tsiko Mal (29), born and raised at Makonde village north of Thohoyandou, says this latest single is dedicated to all his fans for their continuous support throughout his music career. He believes that it has been through the power of God alone that he has succeeded in making a name for himself in the music industry. “The fact that many people love my music and radio stations play it regularly is a blessing on its own. As a Christian, I pray about everything I do and put all my trust to God. I understand that there are many struggling musicians, and that is why I thank God for His never-failing presence and influence through my music,” he said.

A re kha nne is already available in digital music stores. “Taking into consideration that I have fans all over South Africa, it was important for me to make sure that the song is easily accessible for everyone. Like all my previous songs, I have no doubt that A re kha nne will be successful because it has everything that gospel music lovers need; the message, well-played instruments and the general arrangement of the song.”

Tsiko Mal has two successful albums to his name. In 2013, he gained recognition with the release of his debut album, titled Here I am. His second album, Follow Me, was released in 2017 and from this album came the popular hit song, Goodness and Mercy. In October of 2021, he released the single, Goliada.

Tsiko Mal is the brains behind the annual Dididi nga December, a well-established music festival that gives local gospel music artists an opportunity to share the stage with their national peers. The proceeds of the festival go to underprivileged families from rural areas within the Vhembe District Municipality.
