Molema ventures into Ven Rap

Read: 1193

Being born into a disadvantaged family did not stop Mashudu Victor Molema from thinking outside the box. At the tender age of 16, Molema ventured into the Venda Rap music industry, and now his dream to make it big.

Molema (24) hails from Mpheni village in Thulamela. He obtained his Grade 12 qualification and later went to college but dropped out because of a lack of financial support. “The individual who was taking care of me financially passed away before I even went halfway through my college studies, so I decided to hustle,” said Molema.

Narrating how he came to be a Venrap musician, Molema said, “I grew up listening to Venrap legends, like Gavin, Coolfelo and Mizophyll. Later, I developed a love for it.”

Molema practices his music at MSL Music Productions close to his village, and although he is not earning much yet, he loves to entertain people. “Most people love my music, and I enjoy entertaining them. I am looking forward to making a living from it in the near future.”

Fans who are interested in Molema’s music can follow him on Facebook (bigfive mrvenda lothe) or WhatsApp him on Tel 071 182 5394.
