Hadzhi asks Jehovah to heal coronavirus

Fhatuwani Hadzhi, known as a gospel legend, has just made a comeback with a hard-hitting single track, Jehovah heal corona.

In this song, which carries massive messages of comfort and courage, Hadzhi features the widely celebrated Spirit of Worshippers.

A teacher by profession, Hadzhi said that an artist’s duty was to sing or write about any current situations or affairs that affected people. “How does an artist go about ignoring the scourge of the Covid-19 epidemic?” he said. “That’s not easy to just look the other way and not sing about it as a way of extending words of comfort to people who are infected and affected by this coronavirus. Indeed, as a country, many of us may claim to not have been infected but, honestly speaking, we are all affected by the epidemic – just look at the lockdown and its levels.”

“Jehovah heal corona has come at the right time when the world is facing the pandemic. I believe the song will heal and mend those affected and lost their loved ones. For with God, nothing is impossible.”

A resident at Murunwa village in the Nzhelele area, Hadzhi said that he had discovered his talent for music at a young age. “I was very young when I realised that I could sing very well, and from that stage I have not looked back,” he said.

He entered the music industry at the tender age of eight when he joined the Sunday school choir at his local church. He honed his singing skills at a school choir and continued to join and sing in choirs even at secondary and varsity level.

“I was previously a member of Holy Evangelical Church band and I am currently an Eternity Christian Church music director,” he said.
