Mudau uses words to inspire and motivate

Read: 1145

A resident of Matavhela village in the Mutale area, Phumudzo Mudau, is using the power of the written word to inspire and motivate people.

His debut publication is a motivational book, Change My Life. “It’s a motivational and inspiring book for people who are interested in changing their lives,” he said. “It’s not even a question of lives are changing but it is a question of which direction they are changing to.”

He said it had taken him four years to work on and complete the book. “Honestly speaking, the writing process wasn’t too challenging, but the challenging part was to put what I wrote in order and getting it published,” he said.

He had attended Mafukani Primary School and Matavhela Secondary School. “I wasn’t a top learner, but high school taught me good English as we used to be engaged in debates, speech and other English learning programmes,” he said. “That's where my love of creative writing started.”

Mudau was largely inspired by Rick Warren and he finds all Warren's books inspirational.

When he is not reading or writing, Mudau spends his time watching the motivational videos of Nick Vujic. “Nick is also a good author whose books and videos are good in their own ways,” he said.

Change My Life was published by KDP Publishers in Middletown, USA. It came out last year April and is available from online stores and some physical bookstores countrywide.
