A local author, Thakhani Ragimana Nethengwe, recently published his first book, Your Destiny Awaits.
The book was launched on 16 March at the Thohoyandou Technical High School.
Nethengwe, from Muledane, said that the book was all about the principles one could apply to live a better, fulfilling and purposeful life. “It is all about activating the desire of one to get up and be the best they can be. It will inspire you to be a better person in life and fulfil your destiny, which is your purpose in life,” Nethengwe said.
He said that the book had been inspired by his everyday experiences and the people he interacted with, whether friends, family, business associates or strangers. “I wrote this book based on the conviction that whatever a person wants to achieve in life and their purpose, these are already there, just waiting to be achieved. In this book are the principles and guidelines on how one can begin the journey towards achieving all they want in life and live a fulfilling and purposeful life,” he added.
“I want to encourage everyone who reads it to make sure that they live a life that will leave an impact in this world. If everyone were to live their life to the fullest and use all the gifts, talents and vision they have, this world would be a better place and that’s the kind of world I want this book to help create,” he said
“My hope is that everyone who reads this book will take responsibility and take all actions needed to make their life and the lives of those around them better. I hope this book brings out the best out of everyone who reads it,” he said.
He said that he started writing the book in 2012. “At that time, writing was my way of therapy, since I could not communicate easily with my therapist. Writing was the best way I could fully express myself,” he added.
