Gospel music lovers around Limpopo are ready for the first Vhembe Reconciliation Gospel Music Concert that will be held at Worship House in Shayandima tomorrow (Saturday).
Some of the artists who will perform during the event are Rofhiwa Manyaga, Takie Ndou, Thabelo Thavhanyedza Tsiko, Ailwei Netshivhale, Phuluso Thenga, Naphy M, the Worship House team, Tiyani Maluleke, Palesa Ravele, Jay Msiza, Rudolph Mabasa, Gundo Gee, Lebo Sekgobela and the Nkabinde Brothers. A surprise artist will be among the superstars invited for the event.
In the meantime, artist Lebo Sekgobela gave sound advice to local girls. “Girls must make education their priority in life,” she said, adding that in a modern world an uneducated girl was “like an empty drum behind the door in a dry, rainless season – that drum is useless, because it has no water inside it”.
She also mentioned that the kind of music she performed encouraged, understood and promoted respect within the family and in relationships. “Music is a gift I've been given by God to deliver positive messages to the people. I respect my art, I don't take my gift of being a singer for granted.”
Mr Kale Makharamedzha of Mop Events Management said that the organisers had endeavoured to make this year’s show a masterpiece. “We have beefed up security for the safety of our visitors,” he added.
