Well-known gospel musicians such as Violet Gingi, Muleba, Talamba, Tricia Selala, Tally, Adivhaho, Queen Sinyosi and several others are calling for the public to assist them in raising funds for an upcoming charity event.

The show will take place on 8 December at The Holy Church of God in Matanda village.

According to the mastermind behind the event, Violet Azwihangwisi Malange, who is also known as Violet Gingi, the main idea of the event is to help underprivileged families with clothes and food for Christmas. "There are families that depend on grants from the government, but it is not enough to buy all their household goods, “she said.

Gingi said that all the food parcels and clothes would be handed out on the day of the event. According to her, her history serves as the inspiration for the event. "When growing up, I was helped by other people, so now it is time that I also help others."

She is requesting donations such as clothes (can be old or new), shoes, sanitary towels, toiletries and food that can be distributed to needy people.

No entrance fee is payable and  a lot of entertainment and high-quality guest speakers will form part of the event.

People who want to make donations can phone the following people: Muleba at 079 482 7668, Talamba at 072 981 0854 or Violet Gingi at 072 645 0398.
