A popular house music DJ, Theodore Ndobe, also known as DJ Theo D, has released an album, Mbalele Wa Mbale.

According to him, the album consists of house music with elements of rave and Afro-pop and with a mixture of soul music in it. "Mbalele Wa Mbale is a love song which expresses feelings for a lady and shows my identity as a Tsonga-speaking person and my roots where I come from," he said.

His 12-track album includes songs such as Pakistan and Bae.

His love for music began in 2003 when he joined a school choir at EPP Mhinga Secondary School under the leadership of Mr Phineas Miyambo. He also played keyboard at the Assemblies of God Church.

On the album, he worked with a well-known music producer, Hlayisani Maluleke, known as Master Flanger Banger, and Hlamalani, the guitar queen.

DJ Theo D has drawn inspiration from the music group African Rhythm that shaped house music in South Africa and is known for their hit songs such as Xigubu Xa Mampela and Choose Mai Khethela. "This group created a theme of being proud Africans beyond race, because as Africans we are known for good rhythms," he added.

DJ Theo D holds a diploma in Marketing Management from Central Johannesburg College (CJC). He was born in Mtititi village outside Giyani.

Hlayisani Maluleke, his producer, described him as hardworking, talented house musician and someone who dedicated his time to creating good music.
