Chillyboy FC brutally walloped Masetoni FC 8-0 in a Taki challenge last-32 match at the Rabali grounds on Sunday.
Chillyboy was the superior side from the onset and they put a lot of pressure on the defence of Masetoni for the better part of the match. Mashudu Nengovhela opened the score in the 15th minute. The team’s veteran striker, Dakalo Ratshitanga, beat the keeper with a ground cutter from a set piece (2-0). Keeper Mutshidzi Nthangeni got injured during the movement and Masetoni introduced another keeper, Thompho Mudau, in the 17th minute.
The keeper of Chillyboy, Joseph Nndwambi, made his presence felt in the 37th minute. Dakalo Muvhango tried his luck from the edge of the box with a half volley. Nndwambi palmed the ball back into the field of play.
Khakhu Tshilinga of Chillyboy scored his team's third goal in the 40th minute. Masetoni strengthened their defence by replacing their captain, Vhutshilo Netshifhefhe, with Ngeletshedzo Mukhuba in the 54th minute.
Dakalo Ratshitanga scored his team's fourth in the 56th and Shumani Simba the fifth goal after beating three defenders in a row. Chillyboy threatened to increase the margin two minutes afterwards when Khakhu Tshilinga’s volley missed the target by inches.
The last three goals followed quickly. Khakhu Tshilinga scored two goals and Tshilidzi Mundalamo the eighth late in the match.
