The Tshikosi Off-season Tournament champions, Mukula Young Santos.

Young Santos are the Tshikosi champions

 

Mukula Young Santos were crowned the champions for the Tshikosi Off-season Soccer Tournament at the Makonde Home Defenders grounds last Sunday. This after they had beaten Folovhodwe Stone Breakers 2-0 in the final.

Young Santos took home R5 000 during a ceremony held at the grounds shortly after the final. Santos’s way to the final went via Tshidimbini Brave Lions, whom they beat 2-0 in their opening match. Their quarterfinal match was against Musasenda Big Five, whom they crushed 4-0 two weeks ago. Young Santos beat Sambandou United Professionals 2-0 in their semifinal match at the same venue last Saturday to secure a place in the final.

The runners-up, Folovhodwe Stone Breakers, were presented with R2 500 during the ceremony. The third-placed side, Sambandou United Professionals, received R1 500 and Khubvi Dangerous Darkies (fourth), took home R750. United Professionals beat Dangerous Darkies 3-1 in their losers’ final match.

According to one of the organizers of the tournament, Mr Norman Ramahada, the tournament will be an annual event.  A local businessman, Mr Hulisani Tshikosi, sponsored the tournament.  

The runners-up, Folovhodwe Stone Breakers.
