Baroka donate more league points

After losing 0-2 to Jomo Cosmos at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium two weeks ago, Baroka FC continued to donate league points to their opponents last weekend.

They lost 1-2 to Garankuwa United at the same venue on Sunday. As if they were going to bury the visitors alive, Baroka were the first to blow the trumpet. Their solitary goal came four minutes into the game. Mpho Kutumela found the net, following a neat pass from Freddy Nkoana. The visitors from Pretoria fought back in the last half through Edwin Dlomo and Eric Skhosana.

Santos failed to impress their home crowd when they suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Witbank Spurs at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday afternoon.

Lamontville Golden Arrow kept their title hopes alive by brutally walloping Maluti FET College 5-2 at the Charles Mopedi Stadium in Phuthaditshaba. Arrows took the game to the home side from the first whistle and it was not a surprise that they scored their first two goals within the first 10 minutes.

Jomo Cosmos were lucky to go back home from their away fixture against Vasco da Gama with a point in hand. Vasco scored in the 11th minute through Alen Lebyane. Ezenkosi were awarded a penalty in the referee’s optional time. Royal Eagles shared the spoils with African Warriors at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban. They played to a goalless draw.

Cape Town All Stars outsmarted Milano United 3-2 at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. FC Cape Town could not absorb the pressure from Thanda Royal Zulu, who crushed them 4-1 at the NNK Rugby Stadium in Cape Town.

Black Leopards lost 0-1 to Highlandspark at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa. Black Leopards dropped from the fourth to the fifth spot on the log, following the defeat.
