Money for tournament’s achievers

Fabulous prizes are awaiting the achievers during the Sinthumule/Kutama Community Sport Development Soccer Challenge that will take place from Christmas Day to New Year's Day.

The first matches of the tournament will be staged at the Muraleni, Muduluni and Ravele grounds and the final will be played at the Ravele grounds.

According to the media liaison officer of the organisers, Mr Elvis Phathela, the winners will receive R10 000, a floating trophy, soccer kit and gold medals. The second-placed team will receive R6 000, new soccer kit and silver medals, while the team in third place will get R3 000, bronze medals and a new soccer kit. The fourth-placed teams will receive R2 000 and a soccer kit and the four teams that defeated in the quarterfinals will get R800 each. The four teams beaten in the second-round matches will get R500 each, while the 12 teams knocked out in the first round will receive R400 each.

The fixtures for the first-round matches are:

Muduluni grounds: MML FC vs Zamenkomste Happy Boys, Maebane Aces United vs Madodonga United, Tshiozwi All Stars vs Muduluni Young Chiefs and Zoutpansberg Powerline vs Zamenkomste Liverpool.

Ravele grounds: Magau FC vs Madombidzha Celtic, Ramantsha FC vs Ravele Highlanders, Mpheni Home Defenders vs Ravele Black Dragons and Makhitha Oscar Stars vs Tshiozwi Anchors.

Muraleni grounds: Muraleni United Brothers vs Eltivilas FC, Madombidzha Try Again vs Makhitha Iyarunga FC, Muraleni Young Rebellions vs Baroka FC and Madombidzha Western Stars vs Maebane Young Eagles.
