Can Leopards conquer the Cape?

After a break of two weeks, it will be business as usual for the National First Division League teams this weekend.

Black Leopards will play two away matches. Their first match will be against Santos at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town tomorrow afternoon. Lidoda Duvha will not move out of Cape Town after tomorrow’s match. They will stay in the mother city for three more days until they play another match against the other Cape Town side, Cape Town All Stars, at the same venue next Tuesday evening.

It will be the first time tomorrow for Black Leopards’ new coach, Mr Vladislav Heric, to sit on the team’s technical bench. Heric rejoined the Thohoyandou outfit three weeks ago. He could not give instructions to the players from the technical bench in their match against Highlandspark at the Thohoyandou Stadium, two weeks ago as he had not been registered with the club yet.

Leopards will rely on Sanele Mkhize and Karabo Tsepe for goals while Marks Munyai and Harry Nyirenda will keep the danger area clean.

In the other matches that will also be played tomorrow, Thanda Royal Zulu will meet African Warriors at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay. The Maluti FET College will host Jomo Cosmos at the Charles Mopedi Stadium, while Baroka and Witbank Spurs will meet at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. The other fixtures for tomorrow are: Highlandspark vs Milano United, Vasco da Gama vs Garankuwa United, Cape Town All Stars vs FC Cape Town and Royal Eagles vs Lamontville Golden Arrows.

The full fixtures for next Tuesday are: Thanda Royal Zulu vs Milano United, Maluti FET College vs Afican Warriors, Royal Eagles vs FC Cape Town and Cape Town All Stars vs Black Leopards. Four matches will be played next Wednesday evening. They are Witbank Spurs vs Garankuwa United, Vasco da Gama vs Lamontville Golden Arrows, Baroka vs Jomo Cosmos and Santos vs Highlandspark.
