Killer Nedzamba steers Tshiozwi Anchors to 2-1 victory

Aluwani "Killer" Nedzamba steered his team, Tshiozwi Anchors, to victory when they beat Gogobole Home Defenders 2-1 in the Ndivhuwo Funerals tournament at Gogobole on Sunday.

Both sides played attacking football in the first half, making the match entertaining to watch. Anchors had their first regret in the fifth minute. Maanda Nengovhela missed a golden chance when he shot wide. Rudzani “Shikhimbi” Mulaudzi of Defenders scored the only goal of his team in the 24th minute. He unleashed a powerful header from outside the box and the keeper of Anchors, Scara Phathela, watched in disbelief as the ball hit the back of the net.

Vhutshilo Mafunisa and Gwasda Nedzamba of Anchors were booked for different infringements during the match. The visiting team brought on Zane Mulaudzi and Londy Musiamo. They changed the complexion of the match by distributing telling passes to their strikers.

In the second half, Anchors scored the equalizer via Aluwani Nedzamba. Realizing that their chances were slim, Defenders abandoned their positions and packed themselves at the far back. The speedy striker Aluwani “Killer” Nedzamba complete his brace and scored the winning goal in the 85th minute after beating the off side trap.
