Two people injured in armed robbery

The police in Louis Trichardt are on the lookout for armed suspects who were involved in a robbery this morning (5 December).

According to the station’s spokesperson, Const Irene Radzilane, two civilians were shot and injured during an armed robbery. The incident occurred along Erasmus Street (near the Dutch Reformed Church).

At this stage the two injured people were taken to hospital for treatment. Their identities were not made public by the police.

“Our investigations are continuing, and we will keep the public updated,” said Radzilane.
