A Tshivenda gospel singer, Takie Sikhwivhilu from Ngovhela-Backside outside Thohoyandou, recently released a double CD, called No ear has heard.

This is the third album for Ms Sikhwivhilu (44). She started singing in the Sunday School choir, and has proved one can reach the top if one is determined and dedicated to use one's God-given talent.

She said that on the new double CD she wanted to send message to society that God had given her an opportunity to spread his Word through music. The double CD comprises 21 songs.

"You can see, the theme of all my songs is about the Word of God and I want the people to be inspired and follow the good life. In 2013, I released my first live recording, Abundant Grace, and I am priviledged to record a new one now. The new double CD was recorded live in the Thohoyandou town hall."

Ms Sikhwivhilu is a born-gain Christian and a member of the Living Gospel World Mission under Dr Maswole Ragimana, based in Tshilivho. The new songs on the bumper offering include Holy Spirit, Nthuse muya mukhethwa, Nga a loshe and Dzina lavhudi.

She is also a qualified teacher, teaching at Mahuhtsi Secondary School in Xitlehelani near Malamulele. She said she was both a singer and composer of gospel songs and most tracks were written by her, except a two that were composed by Ms Muvhuso Madzinge-Masakona.

For bookings people can call Ms Sikhwivhilu at 082 934 4396 or 076 505 5639.
