A 25-year-old gospel singer, Nditshe, claimed centre stage last year when she released her debut album, entitled Mulisa Nda Nae.

She is a performer of note, and her velvety voice has endeared her to hundreds of fans here in Limpopo and beyond.

“I had known all along that I would release a full-length album one day and have a space of my own in the music industry,” she said. Her album comprises songs such as Tsiwana, Mathada and Tswarelo.

She started out as a backing vocalist for veteran musicians such as Muraga Makatu, and Makatu had introduced this young singer to the studio. “I learnt about the pros and cons, ups and downs of the music industry from Bomo Entertainment, who taught me more than many experienced people could do in this industry,” she said.

She indicated that the music industry was a hard one because artist needed to fork out money from their own pockets to pay for dancers, backing vocalists and other related services.

She believes that music has to reach people from all walks of life and different cultural backgrounds. She therefore sings in Tshivenda, Sesotho, Xitsonga, and English. “I am spreading my gospel not only to the people in Limpopo but to every human being anywhere in the world,” she said. “My gospel does not lean toward any denomination. It will be relevant to all people.”

Nditshee attended Khwevha Commercial School and completed her matric in 2009. She obtained a qualification in general management from Capricorn College and is currently a businesswoman who runs a crèche and pre-school in Muledane.

“I would also like to wish well all pupils who are writing exams,” she said.

Nditshee can be contacted on 079 252 9356, and she is on Facebook as Nditshee Ramalamula.
